The National Examinations Council (NECO) has issued an important notice regarding the ongoing 2026 Senior School Certificate Examination (SSCE) Internal registration. The Council has called on all relevant stakeholders, including State Ministries of Education, school proprietors, principals, and commandants of secondary schools, to adhere strictly to the stipulated deadlines.
According to the announcement, the deadline for normal registration of candidates by schools is Monday, 25th May 2026. Schools that are unable to meet this deadline will still have an opportunity for late registration, which will close on Friday, 29th May 2026.
NECO emphasised that there will be no further extension beyond the late registration deadline. Schools are therefore strongly advised to complete all registration processes within the approved timeframe to avoid any inconvenience.
The Council reiterated its commitment to maintaining strict adherence to examination schedules and urged all stakeholders to cooperate fully to ensure a smooth registration process for all candidates.
