The traditional ruler made these declarations on Monday while receiving participants of the Executive Intelligence Management Course (EIMC) 19, 2026 of the Institute for Security Studies (NISS ), Bwari, Abuja.
The event took place at the Olubadan palace located at Oke Aremo in Ibadan North local government area.

Chief Press Secretary to the Olubadan, Chief Solomon Ayoade, in a statement issued on behalf of the traditional ruler, explained that the Olubadan said that the state Police will complement the efforts of other security agencies.

The traditional added that the most serious challenge facing Nigeria at the moment was insecurity.

He then used the opportunity to call on the federal government not to waste more time in the establishment of the state Police.

He said, “I call on the Federal Government to expedite action on the establishment of State Police to complement the efforts of other security agencies to ensure community policing”.

The Director of Studies, Mrs Ibahim Halimah Zanna, who led the team, appreciated the warm reception given to them by the traditional ruler despite the short notice for the visit.
