On Wednesday I did my 100km journey for the month, for which I had signed up for the Strava problem. I completed in 4 hrs 23 minutes for a mean velocity of 14.2 mph (22.8 kph). This was 49 minutes sooner than after I did one in March, so I used to be fairly happy. However I used to be wiped afterwards. So Thursday after my higher physique exercise I simply did a simple restoration cruise. I felt adequate to go tougher once more yesterday for 3 hours. In the present day shall be one other straightforward restoration journey, this time on my upright emphasizing dust paths, which I all the time take pleasure in. Thus ends a troublesome week. I’ve observed my quantity has crept up a bit, so I’m going to chop again so I don’t exceed a mean of two hours a day. However I’ll nonetheless work onerous on my extra intense coaching.
I did an experiment capturing a video on my digital digicam to see if I may extract high quality stills later from it. It labored out fairly nicely. The video is posted right here. It’s fairly bouncy, there are numerous locations on the path with tree roots and I had my 20″ wheels with street tires pumped as much as 100 psi (6.9 bar).
