Busta Rhymes Is Again with Anxiously Awaited New Album

Busta notably Govt Produced the album alongside legendary heavyweights, Pharrell Williams, Timbaland, and Swizz Beatz. Locked and loaded with 19 tracks, it pops off as one other basic from the celebrated hip-hop juggernaut. Kicking issues off in fashion, he leads a lyrical masterclass on “THE STATEMENT.” From the bounce, he exhales, “Whereas y’all exhibit, we present up.” He proceeds to “present up” with an incendiary verbal barrage punctuated by a promise, “We grinding a lot we ain’t ever complacent.” He maintains this momentum throughout “REMIND ‘EM”[feat. Quavo]. Talking of different dimensions, “THE RETURN OF MANSA MUSA” [feat. Swizz Beatz& Blackway]” harks again to Michael Jackson’s “Wanna Be Startin’ Somethin’” with an interpolation of its immediately recognizable chant as African percussion underlines Busta’s unpredictable cadence. “HOMAGE” [feat. Kodak Black] stays uncooked and relentless, whereas the finale “IF YOU DON’T KNOW NOW YOU KNOW PT. 2” [feat. Big Tigger] marks a full circle second. As piano twinkles within the background, Busta spits reality, “You gotta undergo love and hell, in order for you it to end up proper.”
